Nick Markgjonaj brings more than 13 years of specialized experience in underwriting and managing habitational General Liability and Excess business. As Chief Underwriting Officer of Roosevelt Road Specialty’s RISE program, he currently oversees a $110 million GL and XS portfolio, guiding underwriting strategy, risk selection, and program performance across a rapidly growing national platform.
In 2025, Insurance Business America recognized Nick as a Rising Star, highlighting his leadership, technical expertise, and impact on the habitational insurance market.
Prior to joining Roosevelt Road Specialty, Nick held underwriting and leadership roles with several national and international carriers, including Scottsdale/Nationwide, where he managed $85 million in gross written premium. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in onboarding an innovative AI-driven underwriting platform that accelerated submission-to-quote turnaround times by 23% and enhanced operational efficiency.
