Chris Smyth serves as the Chief Underwriting Officer at Renaissance Specialty Insurance, bringing more than two decades of experience in program development and underwriting, specializing in niche markets. He is known for his strong leadership, strategic client relationships, and disciplined focus on underwriting profitability.
Throughout his 19-year career, Chris has held a range of leadership roles, most recently as Program Director for NSM Insurance’s Sports and Wellness program. His expertise lies in aligning insurance products with the evolving needs of the sports, leisure and entertainment sectors, ensuring clients are protected as they expand and adapt to market changes.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he graduated cum laude, and is a licensed property and casualty agent.
