Availability:
Available in AL, AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, LA, MA, NC, NJ, NM, NY, PA, SC, TX & VA and other states as may be presented.
Target Classes:
Carpentry, Concrete, Drywall, Electrical, Excavating, Framing, Grading, Masonry, Mechanical, Painting, Paving, Plastering, Plumbing, Steel Ornamental, Steel Structural, Tile Work-Indoor, Wallboard Install, HVAC
- Trade Contractors (subcontracting less than 25% of work)
- Non-Construction Defect States for residential Construction will not be considered in specific states

- General Contractors with incidental payroll. Majority of work must be subcontracted out.
- Targeted Sales* $25M+ in NY & NJ; $15M+ all other states.

Submission and Carrier Information
Submission Requirements
To obtain a quote with the best possible terms, we need:
- Five years of currently valued loss runs within 90 days of the renewal date for GL
- Current copy of the insured’s Contractors State License
- Current “Work in Progress” schedule
- Completed ACORD application including:
- Expiring premium
- 5 years of previously audited premiums
- Completed Contractors Supplemental application
- Loss control: Full pre-bind inspection of exterior work and post-bind verification inspections
- Loss ratio: Five-year average loss ratio must not exceed 50%. Underwriting will review frequency vs. severity scenarios to determine binding.
- Minimum length of time in business: Five years
- Minimum premium: New York, New Jersey – $300,000
- Large Loss Summary: Accounts with a loss exceeding $25,000 must provide a detailed claim summary.

TRADESMAN requires insureds to allow loss control to inspect their facilities; Completed Operations, complaints, and failures will be studied, and any remediation attempts will be noted. Loss Control will confirm if any behavior modification programs have been implemented to prevent further loss exposure.

Anthony Dietz is a seasoned insurance executive with over 25 years of experience in underwriting, brokerage, and executive leadership. He currently serves as the Chief Underwriting Officer at Roosevelt Road Specialty, where he oversees all Managing General Underwriter (MGU) units nationwide. In this role, he focuses on developing specialized coverages for construction projects and wrap-up programs.
Prior to joining Roosevelt Road Specialty in August 2024, Anthony was the Head of Insurance Brokerage at Procore Risk Advisors. There, he led initiatives to modernize the insurance buying process for construction clients, advocating for data-driven risk management and more nuanced underwriting approaches.
Anthony's earlier career included senior leadership positions such as Senior Vice President at NFP (an Aon company), Vice President at Arch Insurance Group Inc., and Regional Manager at AIG. His expertise encompasses brokerage, underwriting, and team leadership across various sectors of the insurance industry.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Business Law from Hofstra University and an MBA in Management from the Fordham Gabelli School of Business.

Leroy Marshall serves as Senior Vice President at Tradesman Program Managers, where he is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, pricing, and driving the sustainable profitability of a diverse book of business, with a focus on Artisan Contractors in the construction sector. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in December 2024, having joined the firm in 2020.
Leroy began his underwriting career at AIG in the Excess Casualty Division, where he focused on middle market, Fortune 500, and national accounts with revenues ranging from $25 million to $700 million. He progressed through roles as Underwriter, Senior Underwriter, and Underwriting Specialist, developing deep expertise in excess casualty.
With over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Marshall holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University, where he studied government and economics.

Alfred Wright serves as the Head of Surety at Roosevelt Road Specialty’s MGA Surety Underwriting Solutions where he oversee all aspects of surety underwriting, strategic growth, and client relations. With over 30 years of experience in the surety industry, Alfred brings deep expertise in contract and commercial surety, reinsurance negotiation, and risk management across a wide range of sectors.
Prior to joining Surety Underwriting Solutions, Alfred held senior leadership roles at several prominent carriers and brokerages, where he developed a track record for building high-performing teams and delivering tailored bonding solutions to complex client needs. Most recently, Alfred served as Senior Vice President of Specialty Underwriting at Applied Surety Underwriters in Philadelphia. He also was Senior Vice President and National Surety Product Leader at Endurance Insurance Company, Vice President of Underwriting for International Fidelity Insurance Company, and Senior Vice President and National Middle Market Contract Surety Product Leader at Crum & Forster.
Alfred holds a degree in finance from the City University of New York, Medgar Evers College.
